Privacy Policy

Hey Binga (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an expense and income tracking app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Hey Binga is available to people anywhere in the world, and this policy applies to all users regardless of location.

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored securely and never in plain text). If you sign in with a phone number, we collect that number instead.

Financial data you enter

Hey Binga is built around the financial information you choose to enter: transactions (amounts, categories, dates, notes), income, savings goals, fixed expenses, budgets/limits, and your selected currency. This data is stored so the app can show your history, insights, and reports. We do not connect to your bank accounts and do not collect any information beyond what you manually enter or say into the app.

Voice input

If you use the voice input feature, your device’s browser converts speech to text using your device or browser’s built-in speech recognition. The resulting text is processed the same way as if you had typed it. We do not store audio recordings.

Technical information

We automatically collect limited technical information needed to operate the app, such as your device type, app version, and general usage data (for example, which features are used), so we can fix bugs and improve the app.

• To provide and operate the app’s features (tracking, insights, reports, budgets, goals).
• To create your account and let you sign in securely.
• To send you transactional emails, such as confirming your email address or a password reset.
• To maintain the security and reliability of the app.
• To improve Hey Binga based on how it’s used.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your financial data for advertising.

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run Hey Binga. They only receive the information needed to perform their service, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:

• Supabase — stores your account and financial data securely.
• Resend — sends transactional emails (such as signup confirmation).
• Vercel — hosts the Hey Binga website and app infrastructure.

We do not share your personal or financial data with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Hey Binga or its users.

Because Hey Binga is available worldwide, your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including countries that may have different data protection laws than where you live. We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure wherever it is processed.

You can, at any time, from inside the app:

• Access, edit, or delete individual transactions, goals, categories, and other data you’ve entered.
• Update your profile information and currency in Settings.
• Permanently delete your account and all associated data via Settings → Delete account. This action is immediate and cannot be undone.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law (such as the right to access, correct, or export your data, or to object to certain processing). To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently removed from our systems and cannot be recovered.

Hey Binga is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted storage and secure authentication. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information to the best of our ability.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we’ll notify you through the app or by email. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent changes.
